It's usually more towards those whom need it most, especially animals and the down trodden.
I believe a large majority of people are selective who they give it to, based on conditions or our own selfish preferences, which can make it more of a performative kindness aka manipulative.

@Magenta Thing about animals, they aren't inherently evil. They do not have the brain capacity to process evil. They have instincts and they act on those instincts. Some are wonderful and some are dangerous. And a lot of them are our food.
In America, (where the POOREST of the poor can come here, work hard and get rich) the downtrodden are there voluntarily.
