I have a husband that tells me he loves me and misses me, and I'm always surprised and wonder... "why does he like me so much?" I feel unworthy everyday. I'm really trying to change this negative frame of mind!!!!
From my perspective, he might start thinking you don't trust him or the things he says, as if you think he is lying. He then may cease with the niceties. That's what I did when the negative attitude was constantly presented to me. I figure she didn't trust me, that I was being disingenuous. So, what was my point in continuing?
@Horace I'm sorry it made you feel that way. I hope you told her how you felt. My husband did. So I stopped questioning him aloud. I simply do my best to mentally accept his attention. This struggle is my mental health struggle. I don't want to put him thru what I am going thru. I'm surprised with this Dilemma. I don't want to put it on him. And by not saying it aloud over the years hearing his kind words repeatedly, has truly helped me believe I am loved by him. He makes me believe many kind things about myself. But unfortunately, I still battle insecurities. I am so grateful I met him. He's an amazing man. I definitely don't want to lose him.
@Mindful I did tell her. It made no difference because of some things I said out of passion and frustration in the past, and I lost her. I blame myself. Life is easier that way.
