Are there men who treat pets good and love their pets ?

Men in my life seem apathetic towards pets and animals in general.

I see that you are Indian. That may be a cultural thing there but not here. My dogs are family, even going on most vacations with us. They are dogs that I rescued from Amish puppy mills, from.horrible lives. They are pampered and loved. One of them is on my lap as I write this.

You met the wrong men.
I lost my furry son recently. Almost a year but seems like yesterday.
Still grieve at his cemetery almost every sunday 😐
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@sahi81 all 3. But less of libraries now. Since most of the stuff i surf is online.
sahi81 · 22-25, F
@WandererTony any other place than those?
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@sahi81 None that i can think of.

We eat out a lot, love long rides. Love my bar cabinet.
When solo, i also bike around. And also love my hour long brisk walks in the mornings.

I love pets and care for them to death 🥺

@sahi81 I used to live in the city, in a luxury apartment complex. I would hang out in the courtyard, in the lounges, go to all the little community events. I would walk around town casually and schedule meetups in coffee shops. People would let me pet their dogs. (:

These days, I live out in the suburbs with a friend of mine. To be honest, I don't go outside much except to go to the office, shop for groceries, and hit the gym. That probably sounds bleak, but being able to hang out at home with my friend is a treat.

@BlueVeins Ic. maybe bad men grab more attention. Good men seem have normal lives like going to supermarkets, gym and coffee shops
BlueVeins · 22-25
@sahi81 Unfortunately yeah, life is tough and the worst stick out. I hope you find your perfect guy. <3

I am not sure about all men
But my husband would look after his pets with lots of love and care.
When his cats left him for good, he literally cried like a small child.

Been accused of spoiling them too much. It may be a definitional issue. What some define as loving I actually think is rather cruel. Dogs in an urban environment where they have to be on a leash outdoors, taken out to poop, are left alone all day inside, is more cruelty than love in my eyes. But then I am a cat person. Yet keeping a cat indoors entirely to gaze longingly out the window at birds and other animals in cruel as well, imho. My two are allowed outside, and there are those who say that is cruel because of the wide range of threats outside. But the three of us have bonded into some sort of detente. I recognize their individual personalities and idiosyncrasies; we "talk" to each other; t am a proper servant as any cat expects. Otoh, they know my boundaries, which includes a sunset curfew to be back inside the house, leave your prized conquests (mice and birds) at the door although they will get lavish praise and treats, furniture they are allowed on and not, what can be scratched and not, etc.

@dancingtongue not all pet owners keep dogs leashes or indoors all the time. They do take them out and socialize with other dogs. I think some owners might have best intentions but lack awareness of how to treat their pets.

@dancingtongue This is true. Dogs are a pack animal. They can adapt to a city. but need the stability of a pack and a known place in it. Ben was happy to be around any family member. But got distressed if everyone left and he was alone. That wasnt often..😷

@DeWayfarer 🥰🥰

Yes, plenty of them. We're an animal-loving community where I live, so everyone is good to pets regardless of gender.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
In our house, our dogs were non voting family members. Included in decision making whenever possible and with scrouging rights for anything that hit the floor.😷
sahi81 · 22-25, F
@whowasthatmaskedman what kind of decisions?
sahi81 · 22-25, F
@whowasthatmaskedman men i know, they seem to give food, playing and water. But other than that , they seem to not care at all. They show lot of apathy towards emotions, taking out to walk, health, well being, safety, comfort, showing love ,etc towards the animal. They take to doctor but sometimes neglect that too, i am rather more caring than them.

@sahi81 Our Fur kid before the kids was into grilled chicken being left in high vantage points. He was small. The bearded collie came later and was raised with cats, so loved chasing birds. So it was beach trips. He also swam around the kids and loved the trampoline with them.😷

My dogs are totally spoiled by me.
Daily is asleep on the floor next to me right now.
My husband adores our pets.. it's one of the things i find endearing about him..
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Dogs are “Man’s best friend”. Perhaps you’re not dating a “man”.
My dogs have it so good .. I wouldn't mind coming back as one of them
There are lots of men who love their pets and treat them very well
GeniUs · 56-60, M
I love all animals, except those that go for me.
How much do I love animals? Well I was just saddened to find mass deaths in my wormery* when I went to empty the juice out of it.

*Wormery: compost bins with worms who make the composting process much faster.
