Will they save submarine passengers ? There was no hope from the very beginning.

Can you believe how insane this submarine missing situation is?

Who in the world thought it was okay to operate a submarine with a game controller and touch screens?
And to top it off, the size of that submarine is a total joke. Passengers can't even stand up inside? How can one feel safe inside this thing…
And get this, no windows! They expected people to enjoy the view through a camera. I can do that too... from the comfort of my own home!

Seriously, I hope whoever came up with this whole concept had a huge reality check. I'll pass on the cramped, windowless underwater experience and so will everyone now.
I do not mean to be insensitive but at the same time I have no empathy for the passengers . They could have used that money to help others instead they value life so little they are willing to risk theirs for their personal gratification . I do not like comparing tragic situations but this is not tragic at all to me ,more so dystopian when there are hundreds of refugees who have lost their lives at the same time in search of a better life and that event is now being overshadowed by this

@PepsiColaP agreed, $250,000 a seat to go "explore" what's already been thoroughly explored & documented already; no different than the millionaire plebs that die on Mt. Everest all the time, for enough money, they'll pretty much carry anyone to the top; and for what? To say they've done what better men have already done? I'm not impressed, & I'm certainly not envious. They won't be remembered as anything other than a bunch of rich idiots...

@wildbill83 To be fair, 250k is a lot but that price is nothing for those bored millionaires. It’s a little cheap if you look like at it from another perspective. Probably why it went missing !
It was officially announced that they're dead.
@Strawbsy Implosion at that depth would be quick, but I suspect there was a period of awareness of a serious malfunction.
Strawbsy · 26-30, F
@leftsw That is terrible.
@Strawbsy It wasn't money well spent.

Rich 'thrill seekers' paying huge $$$$'s and signing waiver letters on a risky, unvetted sub ride to their doom, leaving behind grieving family members, asking why they choose to do it.

This 'voyage to the bottom of the sea' waz on a zub that had red flag warnings for several years, and now tragedy. Sad.
@JSul3 bro, these were my exact thoughts.
They are likely dead already probably done ran out of oxygen if they panicked it woukd have used it up even faster unfortunately

they probably only had one battery instead of 2 or 3 where they could switch from one to another if one failed. news already said their radio was unreliable. they could be totally without power because of one battery and that one failing for any number of reasons. I have been on a battleship and they have power connectors with A B and C power source so if one or two is knocked out they still have a live power feed. 😺

Wtf i thought the game controller part was a joke..
Strawbsy · 26-30, F
@PaleandPolluted I believe the controller was about 40 bucks
cloudgirl1 · 31-35, F
Excellent analysis!
Strawbsy · 26-30, F
@cloudgirl1 Oh it’s more like a rant ! 😂
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
I sincerely doubt there was any chance. Even if they found them in time, getting them to the surface wasn’t going to happen. I wound what they said when prospective customers asked “what happens if something goes wrong?”
Strawbsy · 26-30, F
@DownTheStreet I hate how the ocean is already filled with garbage… Now it has a submarine that doesn’t belong there

I'm intrigued by the idea of them getting caught in the Titanic's wreckage...there's a sad and creepy irony to it

btw it doesn't have windows (just a porthole) because everything has to be secure and watertight

It does sound like a hair brained idea how that more information has come out...
And how are they able to use the restroom
Strawbsy · 26-30, F
@TurtleEclipseOfTheHeart I think they had thought of a little space for that with not much privacy however
RedBaron · M
They’ve run out of oxygen by now. Sad.
