Extremely.

Don't forget the hundreds of millions the CEO and top will collect while giving the workers some small share. The workers never win in business
SW-User
Business never give workers most of the revenue. The gains are spent on first paying the top, then maintaining the facility and workers

Economics and business take you a long way
Payroll for factories far exceed manager and Director saleries.

How would you do it?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@SW-User You have to actually be qualified and accept the job before you are paid.
doctorlove · M
That's good news! Hope it happens this time, folks could use the work. This has been going on since 2012 I think.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@doctorlove Doesn’t Intel have factories there already? Wouldn’t the jobs just move to the new facility?
OceanKayak · 31-35, M
How much will the factory workers earn?
OceanKayak · 31-35, M
Oh and where exactly in Arizona is this factory gonna be built?
strongbow · 46-50, M
Krzanich said that the Chandler facility, named Fab 42, would employ about 3,000 people at its peak in "high-tech, high-wage jobs."...

another loss for the libtards😅
OceanKayak · 31-35, M
@strongbow: That's great! Why would it be a loss for anyone?
Harriet03 · 41-45, F

SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
I think that's just a lot of BS
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
Okay Thank you. You're good t explaining this. I appreciate your patience. 🤗🤗
@SimplyTracie: Tracie ... we invest BEFORE the numbers improve.

Yes, the business environment is much improved.

We had 5 projects on hold ... the biggest one was stopped completely.

I have been called on all of them ... everybody says the same thing "lets do it!"

Was called on the largest project ... and told .."the world has changed, we have investors interested"
@SimplyTracie:

Welcome

Cannot wait to see how the leftist media will try to spin this. This might put them over the edge. 😂
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@JustinOnTheRoad So, did they make the investment? It’s been more than 2 years since they made the announcement.

Have they since stopped manufacturing those wafer things in China, Ireland and Israel? Have they stopped doing their testing in Malaysia, China, Costa Rica and Vietnam?

I’m just curious person so I ask questions.
SW-User
It appears as though this 2017 announcement was for the completion of a factory they’d already started building in 2011. They deferred usage for several years, because they were able to leverage an existing factory in Arizona. This sounds like the course of a normal business plan that had nothing to do with who was sitting in the White House.

"It is a factory that we originally started building in 2011, aiming for our 14-nanometer technology. Then, based on a number of manufacturing efficiencies, we were able to defer using Fab 42 because we were able to fit the 14nm capacity into our existing factory on the Arizona site."

How many jobs did that $7b bring to Arizona? Were they lucrative high paying skilled jobs? Did they offer training?
IchBin2 · 22-25, M
Cool. Now Mexicans can use lasers to etch the silicon wafers instead of the Chinese. Whoopity fucking doo!
Dshhh · M
and you think that is 'Cause of trump? you got no idea how that kind of choice gets made.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Dshhh Hmmm 🤔
I wonder how the factory is doing 3 years later. Did they hire the 3,000 people to fill those 3,000 new positions?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
I would wait until you hear that from Intel, before believing it.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@whowasthatmaskedman Maybe there are SW Arizonians that can answer my questions.
Tminus6453 · M
Awesome!..👍
