not my hero
I'm not really happy about the way the legal system administers the death penalty
I sure as hell don't want individuals deciding who should die.
there...I said it.

@Pretzel Society has determined what is worthy of execution and what isn't, and the system in which it's to be put against a person charged with a crime heinous enough to warrant such a punishment. Cold blooded first degree murder should be automatic, without an option to plead out, as well as any sexual violations against younger children.

@NativePortlander1970 but the sad truth is that in the US it is not carried out evenly and not even sentenced uniformly.
that being said there has been one execution that was carried out based on what is now known to be junk science.
and one that may be carried out on the basis of a "scientific fact" that is not so scientific.
but...with sufficient evidence I have no problem with execution. carried out humanely (with as little suffering as possible) or
life imprisonment. and that means until they cart their dead body out of the prison. either way is fine - many on death row die of natural causes.
and either way would prevent a repeat offense.

That’s my baby
@TurtlePink You support cold blooded murder?
Elessar · 31-35, M
@NativePortlander1970 I'm assuming you're coherently disapproving of Rittenhouse as well? Or do you support cold blooded murder in that instance?
And how about cold blooded killing by denying people care they had paid a premium for?
Not supporting of the guy eh, just calling out the double standard.

Hero?
Wiseacre · F
What's this about?
@SW-User a brave soul? Who killed someone's father, son, husband, friend..
SinlessOnslaught · M
But these CEO's are people's parents or kids. 🥺

SW-User
@SinlessOnslaught the people who die because of their negligence also has a family one lets greed drive them to ruin people's lives the other people never had a chance
SinlessOnslaught · M
@SW-User My dad was an insurance broker.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
And yet you laugh at me when I say that without my free health coverage I would die.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@SW-User You have no idea how much I've had to grow. And absolutely no clue how hard I'm having to fight for my life.

SW-User
@LordShadowfire if you had to fight this hard to still act the way you do I'd hate to imagine you 20 years ago. You end real life friendships over politics that thread of text was the most cringe inducing thing I've read in a long time and a glaring window into how you treat the people in your personal life.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@SW-User It's not over "politics", and only someone who licks the boots of the Christofascists would claim otherwise.
Now give me a laughing emoji if I hit the nail right on the head.

well we definitely need insurance reform. I would like to see Alvin Braggs head on a platter.
TheRascallyOne · 31-35, M
meanwhile the the company has already announced a new CEO and they don't have to pay the previous one a bonus
seaglass · F
Collateral damage... they have to expect it, when they get filthy rich off the backs of the sick and dying poor.
I said it

Mayorkas has a simply braindead take on it, labelling everyone who supports him a domestic terrorist.

SW-User
@NativePortlander1970 and i answered your question but we appear to be on different wave lengths
@SW-User You did not answer, you sidestepped.
Elessar · 31-35, M
@Longpatrol The absolute freedom of speech folk lol
I wonder why Rittenhouse and all the lunatics who praised him didn't get charged with terrorism and why these people aren't coherently worried about that too.
