Does veganism actually save animals?

Animal farming is such a huge large scale industry
Do a few vegans even cause a dent in that process?
If the vegan doesn't eat it, the meat eater will, right? Won't it die anyway?

I think vegans and vegetarians do make a difference. I can only find old stats from 2015, but there are, combined, 16 million vegans and vegetarians in the United States. Of a total population of 349 million, that's about 4.7% of our total population.

The main difference you make in saving animals is in showing us how it's done. We may never become vegans or vegetarians, BUT the trend is to incorporate more non-meat meals into our diet as a nation. So don't feel as if you haven't made an impact.
