Does veganism actually save animals?

Animal farming is such a huge large scale industry
Do a few vegans even cause a dent in that process?
If the vegan doesn't eat it, the meat eater will, right? Won't it die anyway?

Does more people not eating meat mean less meat needs to be produced? I'm not sure why there's a question mark there.

Also you're using the word vegan when it should be vegetarian. Many more people other than vegans don't eat meat

@gol979 I wonder if there will ever be enough people who don't eat meat to put a dent in the amount of meat produced and farmed. I wonder if there will ever be enough vegans for any tangible change to be affected

@basicgirl12 errrm, yeah. If less people consume meat obviously leads to less demand.

I'm not saying the meat industry (even the name sounds rancid) will disappear but it will obviously make a "dent"
