You can. But you have to be really careful who you choose to make friends with.
Some people are up to no good.
And some people are not friends, they're just passing time.

Without a real-life connection, I think that would be hard. Friendship includes loyalty, trust and support, which are valuable traits that aren't given to just anybody..

There are really three types of friends: comrades, confidants and constituents. Most people are lower grade than comrades, the ones who you think are you friends are really just your comrades if you're lucky and finally, if you're really lucky you get a constituent. But a confidant? That's nearly impossible.

I require some convincing... I made some friends on EP who I migrated here with, but most of those are gone now (I still have just 2 left).

I've met a few people here who I consider to be friends, but time will tell, I guess.

@HootyTheNightOwl I guess you still gotta remember how fast the internet is , and friends sometimes come and go quickly too. Not likely to get a formal farewell. People just up and go on most times.

Yes I do. They will not be coming over to dinner most likely, but there's a few I'm glad to see when I get here. And I'll never be more than some nut on line but the banter is good.
