I don't mind

SW-User Best Comment
No it sounds really condescending
revenant · F
@SW-User agree with you on that

SW-User
@revenant It reminds me of Penny calling Sheldon sweetie 😂
SweetMae · 70-79, F
It depends on who is saying it to me. When young store clerks or waitresses say it to me, it feels like they are talking down to me.
bowman81 · M
Only by the right person.
ChatterinSeuss · 61-69, M
I love it,, terms of endearment are for that reason.. too many people take offense at nonsense.. it is said to break ice and make you feel comfortable,, not as a sexual gesture..
revenant · F
@ChatterinSeuss what about the patronising Sweetie favoured by some ?
ChatterinSeuss · 61-69, M
@revenant It doesn't bother me in the least.. I enjoy it and I love to flirt with ladies and gentlemen alike.. You would be surprised what a little kindness can do.. I love to see people smile and I am the type that looks right in your eye and tells you to have a great day
Somewhereovertherainbow · 51-55, F
Depends... by who and how they say it..

revenant · F
@Somewhereovertherainbow you do realise that.....sweetie !!!🤣
Somewhereovertherainbow · 51-55, F
@revenant 😂🤣
I love it when waitresses, and other female workers call me "sweety" and "hun" and stuff.
HeavenBesideYou · 56-60, F
I’m southern, so it doesn’t bother me at all. 🤷
HeavenBesideYou · 56-60, F
@ChatterinSeuss Hon, sweetie, darlin... all interchangeable around here
ChatterinSeuss · 61-69, M
@HeavenBesideYou don't forget sugar.. many people just don't know how to react when someone is being nice to them,, that's the whole problem in a nutshell .. but I agree with you 100% ..
HeavenBesideYou · 56-60, F
@ChatterinSeuss Oh right. Sugar is a big one too. I’m used to it. Been hearing it all my life.
FreeSpirit1 · F
Only by a senior citizen. 😀
ChatterinSeuss · 61-69, M
@FreeSpirit1 🤣🤣

SW-User
Not really, unless I know you.
Batman · 41-45, M
By the right person.
indyjoe · 56-60, M
By my wife, yes...By other women, though I know they just say it out of habit and mean nothing by it, when they call me sweetie or Hun/honey I get a twinge of uncomfortableness but generally just ignore it and pay no attention.

SW-User
Depends who's saying it darling.
revenant · F
@SW-User 🤣🤣
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
I would think that depends on context
Coming from someone I love it's endearing.
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
Depends who's calling me that.

SW-User
Not quite.. but I don’t really mind it
Salix75 · 46-50, F
I only like terms of endearment from those who are closest to me
BrattyMel · 31-35, F
No way!

SW-User
No! -_-
revenant · F
@SW-User ahahhhhhhhh
CharlieZ · 70-79, M

River Song
i dont mind it.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
No, I find it disrespectful.
ScrewThisImDone · 26-30, F
I never get called names like that, so I don’t mind if someone wants to use it, unless they’re being creepy or snobby about it.

SW-User
No and 'dear' is even worse. 🙄
midnightoker · 61-69, M
I have to admit my heart broke a little when I heard the lady at Starbucks call the guy in line behind me "sweetie" too..
Stillwaiting · M
Like that better than some things I've been called ;-)
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
It's better than being called Toots...my neighbor does that and I hate it.

SW-User
@cherokeepatti hahaha that's an old word. 😄
ScrewThisImDone · 26-30, F
One of our neighbors in our first town called me that@cherokeepatti
Mona86 · C
