Probably trying to get my father to agree to come back home from Florida, but that was 25 years ago, his mind wasn't good, and he was near the end. We tried for years to get him to move back where we could take care of him. but his siblings were down there and my Mom died down there and he wouldn't consider it until it was too late.

Complex question - both my parents are gone. The last convo with my dad was that he had a severe back pain and thought he should go to the hospital. The last convo with mom was a bit scattered bc she was a bit delirious talking about all sorts of things.

I thank you for the kind thought but my mother and I had by then developed a low-level mutual loathing. And, although it was shortly before she died, at the time neither of us knew it was going to happen. In fact, she was threatening outlive me!

But basically I saw a situation that I felt needed redirection. The guy involved felt it was none of my business. I got involved anyway. It ended up going badly.
Not the first time I've done stuff like this. They fear it is becoming a habit.
