There are several local charities I like to give my time to. I think time can be more important than money in many cases. I'm absolutely skint but I really love helping people, especially people who are emotionally struggling and feeling outcast by society. I used to be a foster carer and I really love kids, I'm also a Sunday school teacher so I hope I'm leaving a legacy with shaping children for their faith journey.

I fed hundreds of stray cats. I constructed makeshift shelters for them in the winter and brought them water to drink when there were freezing temperatures. I took many of them to the veterinarian and had them altered and nursed many back to health. I also adopted more than a dozen. 🐈

As a christian it's basically the wrong type of question. My question would rather be: did I leave anyone behind, in the sense of wondering if I did do my very best for anyone who was needing help
@val70 wow 🫂

@val70 I will not bring inhere, i get your view point. As different faith have been used in many ways to commit most heinous cimes an atrocities until this day and on going, We sure can bring God"s Humanity and leave it that.

@Fieldmaster Personally, I think that's it highly important and indeed somewhat enriching to always remind people these days of what old Bishop Ryle always prenounced: faith alone isn't us

As it stands right now, I've not made much of an impact.

If I were to go now, at the least, my family got to see me turn my life around and become someone they could be proud of.

@SomeIrishPerson you have a long way to go My friend.

People tell me that I have made a difference in their lives, and I hope it is true. I keep trying.

I think about this a lot and wonder if I have done enough to matter. I’ve tried.
Fieldmaster · 46-50, M
@SwampFlower honestly, just do the best you can in.Whatever capacity. It doesn't always have to be money. It is your time, your attitude, your kindness. I have a mantra one good deed a day, at least. Be it smile at someone when you yourself are in pain. Give them hope and walk away.

Devoted my life to public service. I don't really consider my legacy when thinking of helping the community. I'm just doing my part.

@peterlee amazing!
I think a false dichotomy, you are only good if you give towards ... there are other ways to measure value.
Nothing is better than death and destruction
