Yes. Luckily on my street, most people keep to themselves.

I seldom interact with mine. I do not dislike them, I just do not want to get too friendly because then they might think it is okay to start leaving their dogs out all night to bark.

But yeah about 15 years ago when I moved in here, a couple neighbors were pretty rude even though I did not know them so I haven't wanted interactions with anyone since.

No. I enjoy visiting with our neighbors. One neighbor called yesterday and asked me to go next door and check on his wife. Her phone wasn't working. I was happy to help. She was fine.

Did the OP really expect anyone to say - "No, I prefer neighbors who fight all the time, have loud parties, let their dogs bark all night, rev their engines at 5:00 in the morning..."

Some are better off being silent.
My neighbor a cross the street is a gem and I don't mind talking with her.
