WHAT possesses people to hoard TP every time there is another crisis?

There must be some psychological rationale behind it.

Surely someone did a case study about this and knows the answer.

You would think it would be cases of water, maybe cans of food, coffee, cigarettes, or just you know, something that is important and hard to replace.

But they hoard up on TP?

This is just w3ird.

People will be snapping up water and groceries too

During lockdown, some people even used a sharp tool to pry open my works large toilet paper dispensers and steal the paper.

I was just at the market and there was almost no toilet paper or paper towels. 🙄

Toilet Paper Crisis II lasted less than 3 days.

Yep. Common sense has died an ugly death.

So that is our society's emergency response to disasters these days "buy more toilet paper!!"

Anywho, the strike has been called off.

because during covid, they closed up lots of factories here making it, people think that is what will happen because of strike, people don't think

Good to know people hoard rather than help out people hit by a hurricane and lost everything.

I know during storms the first things to go off the shelves are water, bread, milk and diapers. I'm not sure what the fascination with toilet paper is. 🤷‍♂

Update: The Strike is over! The dock workers got a 62% raise to be paid out over the next six years. So now everyone can return the toilet paper and get a refund.
