Panic buying

People are panic buying toilet paper because of the port strike. None of Americas toilet paper comes on ships!!! None. It’s all made right here 90 percent. The rest comes from Canada and Mexico. All of it ships buy truck or rail. Just stop!!!

WHAT possesses people to hoard TP every time there is another crisis?

There must be some psychological rationale behind it.

Surely someone did a case study about this and knows the answer.

You would think it would be cases of water, maybe cans of food, coffee, cigarettes, or just you know, something that is important and hard to replace.

But they hoard up on TP?

This is just w3ird.

@Punches I must say I was pretty close to dead last in line at the Food Bank today, and I still got a roll of toilet paper. People seem pretty relaxed about making it through the week.
