My sister did that several times. Seemed like an attempt to manipulate her husband…always made sure he found her in time.

@FreestyleArt sounds mentally ill. Possibly a personality disorder behind it or similar

@cherokeepatti any idea why she did this??

@BurningBright Personality disorder. She has a sadistic streak and wants to control other people. This is emotional blackmail. She was overbearing and critical to her husband, and played on his emotions. She was sadistic to me from the time I was a toddler, kicking me in the head so I would fall down with seizures. They had me tested for epilepsy and my brain waves didn’t indicate it. And when she was a young teen she started talking and laughing about remembering doing it and how I would lay there and shake during the seizures. It was so damned hysterically funny to her.

@BurningBright dang that's crazy

@WoWgirll even though they accounts were “fake” - the fucked up thing is I still worry it was true. That one of their friends really attempted/ or died. Probably trauma. I never got full closure or a way to 100% expose it as a lie… finding out the accounts were fake probably helped expose it.

@WoWgirll yeah 😢 left me with trauma - fearing that someone died. It felt soooo real!!!

not online, but, in real life. an ex gf used to threaten it a bit for manipulation, that shit gets old quick, especially when it becomes repetitious. and yep, she is still alive, and still pulling the same old stunt on new and different people.

@MayorOfCrushtown feels like emotional abuse. Plus if the person is not mentally ill it creates the impression a cry for help is a lie in real situations where people express this
