When was the last time you saw a human show the world benevolence?

Are we capable of doing things that benefit others in this day and age? Or has humanity ran its course and self destruction is inevitable?

I see it quite often. The folks I associate with donate time twice a month to distribute food from the Food Bank, donated blankets and jackets to the homeless during last winter's freeze, and cook meals for people in need. There are some good people out there.

You wont see it on the news but its there. In any crisis or disaster, look for those that are helping.

Do it. And let that be the last time you see it until the next time you do it again.

If you wanna see something good, don't wait for it. Start it yourself.
its usually evil cloaked in good will..
I think it will be an arduous journey of self destruction - stage one is already upon us.

@jshm2 Humans with power value money over life. If we were all truly empathetic we wouldnt have war or famine. Humanity had only experienced world peace for 250 years. 200 with the roman empire and roughly 50 after WW2. That doesnt include all the murder, rape, tourture and slavery that has been apart of our culture for our entire existence.

Based on my experience on this planet, i think humanity is a barbaric and warlike species. We even have to kill to eat. We are capable of learning empathy by overcoming hardships but its a learned trait. Humans are selfish by nature but learn compasion by witnessing the suffering of others. This is why being ritch usually causes a person to become snobbish and biggoted. We are easily corrupted by greed.
