i still can’t believe those people got on that submersible

LadyBronte · 56-60, F
I felt the worst for that youg boy who didn't want to go because he was scared, but dad talked him into it anyway. What a tragedy.
@LadyBronte yeah, he was the only victim...
AgentOfChaos · 36-40, M
@LadyBronte Can only imagine the panic while in there
@AgentOfChaos they probably didn't have time for that. An implosion happens instantly.
come2gether · 46-50, M
You would think that millionaires would know better
come2gether · 46-50, M
@LaurenRae but, a millionaire went on a 3 hour tour and got stuck on Gilligan's Island, so, there is that precedent
thisguy20 · 41-45, M
@come2gether Yea, and back then a millionaire really was rich...
Belleinboots · 61-69, F
I know, I was thinking about the same thing just the other day, glad you posted this, so sad. The company may be sold them a pack of lies, About how safe the thing was, I think I would have my concerns and a red flag when I saw the thing was driven by a videogame controller. I'm hoping that nobody suffered And they all died quickly/instantaneously but I'm sure the few minutes before implosion must have been terrifying for those on board.

I always Shy away from watching those World War II movies of submarines and U-boats going down beyond their safe depth limits to escape the enemy and the depth charges... that was only hundreds of feet most of the time back then.... not thousands...scenes where you heard the hull creaking under the pressures and bolts popping, indicating that any minute the whole thing could implode. Must have been terrifying for those Submariner's actually living through it in real life during the wars. Not me I will stick to pleasures above water apart from the occasional scuba diving trip when my body is the vessel and I know my limitations.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
Yeah, they should have known better. It was named the Titanic, that's just tempting Zeus.
@Longpatrol the Titan, but close enough. 😅
GeniUs · 56-60, M
@Longpatrol also tempting Neptune (or Poseidon) but close again.
deadteddy · 26-30, F
Those people are strangely related to one of the Macy’s founders who died on the Titanic 😳.
HannahSky · F
@deadteddy weird connection
LaurenRae · 22-25, FNew
@deadteddy i heard this. crazy
deadgerbil · 26-30
And then the frantic search as if they were gonna find anything but shattered remains of that sub
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
At first I thought "it's already been a year?" Well, it's been more than that. 😩 Where did the time go?
craig7 · 70-79, M
Yes - in an ironic way,the "Titanic" claimed 5 more victims,111 years after it went down.
KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
People should have known you do not disrespect a graveyard. It is a graveyard not a tourist attraction. Unfortunately I say that for doing what they did and being disrespectful they had it coming. Nature especially the sea does not take disrespect kindly.
LaurenRae · 22-25, FNew
@KingofBones1 that young boy was the only victim. he didn’t want to go and was scared.. his father talked him into it.

@LaurenRae from now on that wreck should be respected as a grave site and left alone
RedBaron · M
Which people on what submersible?
QuietEd2019 · 31-35, M
@RedBaron the ones that went to explore the titanic wreck in a submarine that wasn’t up to the task of diving that deep and imploded leaving no survivors
I know its so sad.
Yeah and took his son. Sad.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
What people?
Jexie · 26-30, F
People should remain grounded and not let money get to their head
What happened ?
deadgerbil · 26-30
@bijouxbroussard I think just a random thought for the poster

@LaurenRae I remember thinking it was a tragic example of someone having more "cents" than sense. 🥺
