It's high time, ____________ should be normalised now.

According to you what should be now more acceptable or considered as normal in our society as per need of current generation?
Whodunnit · M
Assisted suicide for the terminally ill
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@Whodunnit Yes, but as long as family do not make the final decision
Whodunnit · M
@nedkelly Of course. It would certainly have to be regulated and the decision made by those who were ill.

I think the notion that we force people to live with horrific pain is absolutely barbaric. If an animal was going through something like that we'd mercifully put them to sleep.
@Whodunnit We actually passed such a law in our state.

California End of Life Option Act is a law enacted in June 2016 by the California State Legislature which allows terminally ill adult residents in the state of California to access medical aid in dying by self-administering lethal drugs, provided specific circumstances are met. The law was signed in by California governor Jerry Brown in October 2015, making California the fifth state to allow physicians to prescribe drugs to end the life of a terminally ill patient, often referred to as physician-assisted suicide.

In May 2018, a state trial court ruled that the law was unconstitutionally enacted, but the following month, the law was reinstated by a state appeals court; the law was affirmed by the California Supreme Court.

sexuality. I'm not saying open or public sex, or really even ideas of monogamy, polygamy, what defines rapes, what doesn't define rape and on. That if this subject was more normalized there would be much better understanding and possibly fewer abuses, and the abuses that did happen would be caught earlier?
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@SW-User a lot of stuff around that is based around the idea that sex - the most natural and commonly found biological process in existence - is inherently harmful
SW-User
@pianoplayingsteve Yes, and I'm not going to debate beyond consensual sex - but the social norms don't accept terms of biology. There must be a language around that, though. There must also be somewhere, if a species asks for morals, that those morals mean something? But they move and change.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@SW-User PM’ed you
PatKirby · M
Medical and recreational use of pot should be normalized. Its listing as a Schedule 1 drug along with cocaine and heroin makes absolutely no sense. There are several maladies and ills that can be mitigated or even alleviated by its moderate use.

Besides, as was seen during Prohibition that made alcohol use illegal in the 30s, when you make something forbidden its usage actually increases because it's human nature to crave forbidden fruit. Legalization and normalization of marijuana on the federal level will very likely make its use actually drop over time.

Work from home/remote

F*ck the very concept of having to get bottled in traffic 2h everyday, to reach a place where you perform (and worse) the very same job you could perform from home, while also polluting unnecessarily

Male-Female Equality in the work place.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Dino11 As long as both sexs are judged on a neutral,even playing field where both are expected to fulfill the same standards,I totally support that.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Dino11 But keep something in mind:in white-collar,high-end jobs,its a proven fact that many who are guilty of the greatest pay disparities between male and female employees are WOMEN bosses.

Interracial families. And if you think they are, go on YouTube where right-wingers call any post depicting them "white genocide" or a plot by "race traitors" instead of a reflection of our world in the 21st century.
Curvyvixen · 36-40, F
@bijouxbroussard white trash they are
it is not logical to change something in the present if human society has no ultimate goal for the future.

@TheFragile I don't think there is one, everyone and their dog and tennis partners are telling everyone how they have a long list of "mental health issues" because they dont like crowds and get "depressed" sometimes ie normal reactions to existence
