It's no secret I'm morbidly obese

But I found that watching youtube videos about My 600lb Life keeps me from eating as much snacks/chocolate as I used to.

I just got super emotional over a clip where dr. Now told a patient he was proud of her. I'd die a happy man if he ever said that to me, ngl.

In high-school I would watch episodes of my 600lb life while working out on the elliptical machine. It was great motivation. It helped me lose weight.

@PinkMoon I need to lose 7kg (approx 15 lb) before I can use my exercise bike, but it's standing in my living room as a reminder. I also have weights to lift when I'm just sitting around watching youtube. Unfortunately I hurt my right bicep a couple of months ago, and it's still no good, so I gotta be careful. But some is better than none, right?

@LordBarbossa Definitely some is always better than none. As far as the 7kg goes weight-loss happens in the kitchen. You can lose weight without exercising at all. As long as you lower the calories you consume you can lose weight. I lost 130 lbs and I didn't start working out until I lost 20 lbs. Once I lost that first 20lbs I got some more confidence and decided to push myself.

@PinkMoon main issue is the fact I hate cooking (I get too stressed out) so I'd rather grab a quick treat than actual food.

@LordBarbossa Food is a number's game. The truth is you can lose weight eating anything as long as you are at a calorie deficit. There are websites that calculate how many calories you need to eat to lose weight. After you have that number you use it to budget what quick treats you can afford for the day. Sometimes I eat complete junk but I don't gain weight because I budget my calories.

@PinkMoon I know of an app that lets me keep track of calories, but it doesn'lt take into account my severe sleep schedule issues sadly
