@Vivaci I knew what song I wanted to use from the outset and knew I wanted a video of a couple dancing in a way that fit the music. Took me a while to find this one. It had to be edited pretty severely because the dance went on at least a minute longer than the music.

Also had to crop the bottom of the video because Kapwing put a huge watermark on the lower right-hand corner. Trying to erase it left an ugly blur that was at least as distracting as the watermark. Really hated to crop the video but I felt that was the least bad alternative.

The couple was dancing to some crappy Salsa music in the original video. Because Bossa Nova music isn't radically different from Salsa, the couple's dance moves fit pretty well.

@laotzu92 Yes. Very attractive lady and an excellent dancer. I love this recording by Ray Anthony and think it works at least as well as the music in the original video.

@JoyfulSilence Thanks for sharing your experience. It would be great if someone who knew how to do this stuff could help us with these things, but I guess we're on our own. Fortunately, there are some websites that can help you accomplish what you want to do. Even then, it's still not easy. As for replacing a video's audio with your own, Kapwing is good for that, but they leave a big watermark on the video if you've used up your allotment of watermark-free videos or you upgrade to a paid plan. For this video, I first had to extract the song from an album. I think I used Data Doctor - Audio Splitter for that.

Now if I could only get all the foreigners to be silent while I film canyons and mountains at parks, I'd have great videos. I swear I often had to wait a long time to get a quiet video.

Btw, it's possible to eliminate the audio on videos with some online editing sites. You can leave it mute or upload your own audio as a replacement.

@LordShadowfire They're very inconsistent in what they'll allow and not allow on the site. It must be incredibly frustrating for people who continually get their videos removed, particularly when their material is no less compliant with the guidelines than that of others who never have their videos deleted.

@Rutterman I tried re-uploading the video somebody else got a copyright strike on from Warner Brothers. Other people have uploaded this successfully without it getting struck down for sexual contact, but when I tried, it was immediately removed.

Now, I'm not saying there's no sexual content. What I'm saying is, why the hell isn't fellow YouTuber BreussAlmighty getting a strike against him for having it?
