New user here, just saying hello :) [I Participate In Yahoo Answers]

So as we all know, Yahoo Answers is shutting down soon. The site is currently in read-only mode, but I saw a couple of posts over there recommending Similar Worlds, so here I am, going to give this website a shot as well as I use other Q&A sites.

In any event, YA is pretty much a dead website, since you can't ask and answer anymore.

Even saved my Yahoo avatar picture ;)

Hello, I'm from Yahoo Answers too. From what I've seen of this site so far it is nice. Nothing can replace Yahoo Answers though. I had a little cry last night about it.

@Darksideinthenight2 Believe what you want, I honestly don't care. I'm a long time, Yahoo Answers user. I got on today after I got home from work, decided to get on Yahoo Answers. Then I saw a couple of posts on Yahoo Answers where people said, "I recommend trying Similar Worlds"

Then I said to myself, okay I'm going to give that website a try. And then I came here, made this account, uploaded my Yahoo avatar picture that I saved and that's the story. If you think it's some alt or fake account, I don't care. But I will tell you this... THIS IS NOT A FAKE/ALT ACCOUNT!!!

I hope you'll like it here.

I apologize that you were harassed, not everyone was open to new members joining in. Which I am sure you've seen on Yahoo as posted by the user under the name "Mr".

You may sometimes run into similar behaviors and even misunderstandings but there are loving, kind and wise members you'll find valuable once you get to know them.

Make sure to read the TOS, block any members harassing you and report anything that breaks the TOS too. This website is partly community moderated.

This site is a little different then YA, we ask questions, make statements and write stories about our experiences. YA was very strict about questions only. This site is more interesting and as an added bonus you can offer your opinion without censoring. We can also post memes here you put in the URL and they take if off the internet for you.

@curiosi Yes, that was the biggest thing about YA I didn't really like, was that it was so strict to that answer and question format. My problem is I can keep going and going, and before I know it, my whole screen is this huge story lol. I try to keep it short and simple but I just can't help it 😆

@SW-User I have blocked that person, because I am a real person. I came here from Yahoo Answers, because I saw people recommending this website. I don't stand for harassment and false accusations. I said in my very first post hello, and introducing myself, and he says I'm a fake account. Not sure what he is talking about, but I don't need that crap.
