This place

Is this an exclusive club where there's only one type of person that is allowed to say anything or is this a discussion group site? When one stays curteous then only there's indeed discussion possible. When I get into a situation when there's no civility left, like people starting to become abusive verbally and intellectually, then I leave the discussion. When someone tells me that I'm stalking them, well, I ask them to leave my postings alone and I'll do the same to them. How can one actually start off a discussion when there's no possible respect in the first place? No, I'm not having that either. Not blocking nor ignoring. Just doing what I do in the real world. Treating people with respect and whenever needed backing off. So I guess that my question remains. What sort of site is this?

If you carefully read the TOS for this site, it is implied that you should mute, block, or regularly downvote people with whom you are in conflict due to their rudeness, insanity, or, (other), to contribute to the peace of SW, and provide less drama all round.
