On "Similar Worlds", users will more often see the type of content they have previously interacted with.
For example, there are many users who mostly see: supportive, thankful, inspirational, positive posts, in their feeds.
SimilarWorlds is Not an "Adult Site", just to make it clear (we see users promoting this idea), neither is it any more "unsafe" than any other public social platform.
We prioritize showing users content they subscribe to, or most often engage in.
It is best that users not describe SW as being an "xyz inappropriate site" (not all do, but it seems far too often), as this only creates a negative image of our community, where the majority of users do not deserve such a label.
Also this attitude only helps to attract more "inappropriate people" to this site, while dissuading lots of other regular people who join here daily, from sticking around.
Negative posts and comments, have a greater and lasting impact on users, compared to the larger majority of positive and neutral ones.
There's no problem with engaging in adult content on this platform, if that is your preference; however, there is no need to attempt to force that label on other users that come here for other types of content.
SW is a platform for mostly everyone.

We really appreciate the administration and their hard work to keep this site up and running, and you bend over backwards to please us and I would say that 99.9% of us really appreciate your efforts and hard work. I hope this site stays up forever. It's what a person makes it to be. We all have to contribute to keep it upbeat and positive. I love this site because it's so easy to navigate and I don't know why people complain about it because if they don't like it they can either leave or they can block people, which is a great feature. Keep up the good work and we'll try to do our best to help you. I hope many more join this site.
People who complain don't know what it's like to try to keep a site like this up and it's no different than any other site as far as the people who join social sites. All in all, I think it's one of the better sites on the web and I hope it never closes. Like any site, it can be good or bad, depending on what a person wants to make it.
@AlyAngel that's not a "these days" problem. It's been around since 18+ sections of the internet have. I joined an 18+ chatroom at 18, primarily because that is when I first got regular internet access at home than a sense of altruism. I met one of my best friends there.
She's three years younger than me and was faking her age.
There isn't a lot sites can do to verify age without rather draconian measures.
Thank you admin. I really appreciate that the website is turning better and getting better content. Also it's not an adult website however many users post sexual and vulgar content either to put out the frustration or they generally don't understand how to use social media.
It’s always safer when making a post to classify it as “ Adult” to protect against complaints by some outlier who has a political , spiritual, mental illness axe to grind , or someone that just wants to be contrary . Regardless of the of their issue and especially when no one ( admin) is minding the store , all the hassles that ensue after a complaint is made ( automated responses) make it necessary to protect one’s self by posting under the adult/sensitive umbrella to avoid those problems.
I believe it should be stressed that those figures are based on posts. Not on any other areas like: photo albums or whiteboards or private messages.
Then there is the question that I have no idea if it's included.
Does those figures include just the post or both posts and comments?
I have noticed that posts that are marked for nudity, the images in the comments are sometimes not even mark for nudity. So how would the system know it's nudity or not?
When a post is mark for nudity no one is going to report such a commented image. The post is already marked. 🤷🏻♂️
A quick question about this, please: is the "New" tab on posts identical for everyone, or is that filtered too, based on what we've interacted with previously, except for obviously removing posts tagged with nudity, for example, if we've filtered out nudity on our profile settings?

Requesting to not modify the feed based on the type of content of the user's engagement, as this results in a lot of posts not shown in the news feed. Please let the posts being shown based on the time posted.
Suppose a person likes blue and purple cars. Also, suppose the red cars are less in number's. So an authority, decided to only allow those three coloured cars to cross the street infront of that person's house.
Showing the posts according to the user's engagement and promoting lesser known user's, is kind of like that example above.
I hope you see how biased the feed is.
Also, now it is required to click on the 'Topics' to find a lot of post's that are not showing in the 'new' feed, even with the modification that are provided for the feeds.
Please let the posts show according to the time those are posted.
Hmm, if that is a recent image I am still having a lot of trouble setting my filter to show all posts in time order. Which is very frustrating. I really do want to see everything. 😔
On a positive note, I really like and encourage the self-flagging community and user filters here that allow us to have both adult and non-adult content in the same environment.
@ViciDraco right 👌 like I don't expect SW to change the way the feed is now, but would it really be hard to add an additional option where we could see everything in chronological order WITHOUT skipping lots of posts?
Like we have an option to see "new" posts already but it doesn't even show us half the posts in it. It completely skips so many posts, I don't get it
I don't want to see content similar to content I've interacted with. I don't want any social media engine to put me in an echo chamber.
I want to make a choice to see political and social posts that are, by nature, divisive.
But then I want to make a choice to see humanistic, personally supportive content. Maybe in the course of one session of 5-10 minutes.
I don't want to have content I agree with pointed towards me. I also want content that I disagree with, that offends me, upsets me, pointed towards me.
Getting fed what others have decided I want to feed is really disturbing.

Whatever has happened with me, I receive a lot less interactions, profile views, less comments on my posts, less of everything than I used to have, I'm the same, but my interactions here aren't
I would prefer to see everything as it’s posted. What I subscribe to and stuff I interact with is really limiting what I see. But if you think doing it this way makes it a better site, maybe so.
@Synyster but here’s the worst of the bunch the husbands post pictures of their wives asking people if they like it that’s just fucking sick. Besides the stupid fox on here posting nude pictures and the trans trying to be excepted. It’s a fucking joke.
I want to see EVERYTHING.👀 I have my filters wide open so I don't just see what I've interacted with...which makes the algorithm just show me more of the same because that all I saw on the page..sigh. Must I repeat the past??😩

@AdaXI I don't know where you got the idea that a lot of people are only joking when complaining about there being too many perverts but you can't just speak for all these other people... Besides, you can stop nudity showing up but that doesn't stop you from being exposed to perverted posts that aren't marked as adult or a fetish or anything, plus it's possible to not mind posts marked that way but still preferring if they didn't have to see the overly perverted ones.
