No, not rude. She/he could ve ignored you all together but takes time to explain the problems they are having. Rude is expecting a person to answer per your demand. Maybe she is in distress and can’t gather the mental energy for the five words. Ask someone else if you don’t want to wait for her 🤷♀🤷♀
