Does the response to my message sound rude? I messaged this person on Thu and this is the response I get?

It was a simple query that will hardly take 5 words or so to type and respond.

Sounds a bit that way, but take it a pinch of salt. But if you can find out before Saturday then you need not rely on them for the answer.
