Do you have friends who think it's cool to text you anytime of the night they feel like, but if you text them past 8pm they get upset.

Does this upset you? Do you say anything about it?

I have a strict 9pm rule for most people, except for my BFF, because of the hardships she's going through being technically homeless, currently sleeping in a run down 70's era travel trailer, and addicted to crack and severe seizure disorder. However she is voluntarily signed up on a waiting list for inpatient rehab because she wants off the shit, it's a 90 day program that will help her find housing once she completes it, and help her with disability benefits for her seizures.

@NativePortlander1970 Wishing her all the best.
@Musicman Thank you, sadly it seems as though I am the only real friend in her life that truly wants her to get on her feet, and I'm stuck 12 hours away too sick to travel to see her.

@NativePortlander1970 Some days life just sucks! ☹️

@NativePortlander1970 I hope you get better so you can go visit her.
@Musicman I'm terminal on assisted oxygen 24/7, a cardiopulmonary disease called CTEPH.

@NativePortlander1970 I am so sorry 💔😢😢😢
@Musicman Thank you, it took me three years to get disability, I even had to fire my pro bono lawyer because he claimed I was being psychosomatic and wanted to pursue the mental angle. Here's what even more messed up, he's a cardio patient on anticoagulants himself, as well as a friend to my mother, and a substitute preacher at her former church she retired from as their secretary, yet a christian retired prosecutor part time preacher insisted I lie about my disability to social security, a governmental agency that prosecutes fraud. And people wonder why I'm an Atheist.

@NativePortlander1970 Wrong is just wrong! You did the right thing.
@Musicman Thank you. When I went to my hearing before the district social security administrative law Judge, I read ojt loud a statement I wrote, including what my former lawyer tried getting me to do, as well as what I was going through emotionally with having once been very healthy and active, reduced to getting very fatigued and short of breath just walking across my mother's apartment where I was staying at the time, the Judge approved me because of my honesty, he also started an investigation into my former lawyer's other cases because of what I said what he had done and attempted to force me to lie.

@NativePortlander1970 I am happy that part ended well for you. Do you still live with your mother? Do you need constant care?
@Musicman Thank you, no, I am on my own in a low imcome disability/62+ retirement building. So far I can still take care of myself and have a 2010 Dodge SUV to get to my dr appointments and run errands when I have the energy to. However, I am also a realist and know I may need to go into assisted living in the future.

@NativePortlander1970 I hope that isn't for a long time to come. Is your mom still alive? How is her health? Sadly both of my parents are gone now. 😢
@Musicman I hope not as well. Yes, she is, but as far as her health I couldn't care less. My Dad died when I was ten in early 1981, and she made my life hell after he died. I should also add that she always opposed anything I did in life, criticizing everything, and even took my former lawyer's side, because they were friends from her church.

@NativePortlander1970 I am sorry to hear that. 💔😢
