I need somebody to make this make sense. Because it absolutely doesn't.

This may just be the most ridiculous reason anybody's ever been banned from Reddit. I woke up this morning to find out I am permanently banned for "hate" and "harassment".

Why, you ask? Well, I'm glad you asked.

You see, last week, I thought it would be funny to share this silly little meme in r/rosesarered:

Funny stuff, right? And it's definitely something that a lot of straight people do. I figured it would get a few laughs, get some people talking about it, and that would be it.

No, no. That wasn't it. Because even in a liberal paradise like Reddit, which claims to be a bastion of tolerance and welcoming of the LGBT, there's a dark underbelly.

My inbox was flooded with hundreds of replies. Every. Single. Day. All of them demanding to know why it was that I was saying all straight people do that. Every single hοmοphοbic one of them taking it personally that I shared a silly little meme, without including a disclaimer saying that it's absolutely 100% not all straights. It's been 9 days, and I'm still getting people demanding to know why I didn't ruin the meme with a whole disclaimer talking about how it's only a certain type of straight people who do it. That's the level of hοmophobia disguised as personal outrage that I've been dealing with.

A day later, I was still getting inundated with angry screaming comments on the other post. So I thought I'd post this:
That one didn't get much engagement, other than me getting yelled at for using AI to generate it. BFD.

The next day, I thought it would be funny to post this:

This was met with less hate and more people wanting to engage on the actual subject. But I was still getting tons of hate for my original post, and people just screaming "NOT ALL STRAIGHTS! WHY ARE YOU GENERALIZING ALL STRAIGHT PEOPLE?"

So I posted this:

That one got a lot of angry people crying about how we're just cramming our agenda down people's throats. (Our hot, sweaty agenda, all down people's throats...) But it also led to some semi-productive conversations about the quality of representation we get in media.

Meanwhile, the onslaught of hate for my original post continued. I was literally considering ending my account and then myself. That's how bad the brigading got. Which is the point of brigading. To make someone so crazy that they consider death to be an alternative.

So I posted again, trying to plead my case. I know you guys saw my post, "A Day In The Life Of A Chud". (If not, here it is. https://similarworlds.com/public-figures/donald-trump/magats/5493077-A-day-in-the-life-of-a-chud)

Frustrated at having to repeat myself a million times to people saying the same dumb stuff over and over again, I posted this:
This only served to fuel the fire, of course, because nobody to whom that meme was addressed understood the point. They just kept dogpiling on me for perceived heterophοbia. Even some of the "pick-mes" started piling on me and calling me hateful. (For those who don't know, a pick-me gay, or just a "pick-me", is a member of the LGBT who tries to convince the straights that they're different from the others, that they're one of the good ones who support the Trump agenda and the continued subjugation of any of us who don't act straight enough.) Things were getting really bad. Really, really bad.

So I'm sure some of you remember my post here, "A Day In The Life Of A Chud". For those who don't, here it is again: https://similarworlds.com/public-figures/donald-trump/magats/5493077-A-day-in-the-life-of-a-chud

I posted that cartoon to r/rosesarered, with the title, "Roses are red, a blow to the head causes a thud..."

I thought that might finally get my point across, but of course not. Of course not. Because the type of people I was trying to reason with are the ones who can't be reasoned with. They're the ones who insist that unless I include an entire paragraph disclaimer patting them on the heads and reassuring them that everything in the entire universe isn't about them, it must be an attack on all straight people! Automatically! And so I was getting more angry comments from the poor victims of my ongoing campaign of heterοphobic hate. Makes sense, right? I clearly deserved it.

And then, for a while, the comments died off. I got no more hate in my inbox. I thought the wave of hatred was finally past, and I could go on about my life without worrying about whether somebody was going to jump out and scream

Until this morning. I woke up, went to respond to my inbox comments, and got this:

Okay. Not a problem. I've been suspended before. No big deal, right?

WRONG!

The next thing I find in my inbox is this:
What could possibly have been removed for hate, you ask? I'm glad you asked. It turns out, it was this one:
That's the one that was removed for harassment and bullying. My response to all the bullies who kept harassing me. Makes perfect sense, right? When the target finally stands up to all the bullies, they double down and report for abuse.

And then I found this:
You guessed it. I'm permanently banned for that same comic.

Because that's what happens on Reddit to dirty little freaks like me who forget our place.

That's what happens to people who stand up to the bullying.

Nine years. Nine gοddamn years I had that account.

Gone. Permanently banned.

I read on reddit but I do not have an account because I keep hearing about how they are quick to ban.
