🤔 I wonder what the "RED" in "REDDIT" stands for?

I've always felt that the whole karma game on reddit was to get us used to accepting social credit and being governed by our scores. ..like they do in China.

Reddit is the most unfriendly site I've ever used. I thought G+ was pretty bad, and it was, same with Quora where their attempts at stifling bullies didn't do anything to stop any bullying. It just changed the type of bullies. The weak have become the new bullies

The amount of bullying im subjected to on any given day is ridiculous, and the amount of subs I've been banned from permanently for sticking up for myself is more than i can keep track of. I just found out today that most of the jokes i post get deleted by mods, which is disturbing, but now im beginning to understand why the trends in jokes have become much less clever or cerebral and more juvenile and predictable.

I make up a lot of my jokes. They're mostly corny but somewhat clever. I try to post them in appropriate subs for their content, which is sad that comedy has been so divided, the latest joke i made up was about why surgeons don't make good Obstetricians. It's because when they're told to deliver a baby, they remove it's liver (de liver. Like deworm). At first I said they cut out its liver but that got me flagged. So I posted it on the dark humor sub. It's kind of dark I guess. I got flagged there also. LOL I don't know what dark humor is then. I hope they're not talking about black jokes.

I commented on a post about a pickup truck taking up two spots in an empty parking lot. There's a bunch of hateful things being said about the guy they don't know. And what it look like to me was something that I have to do sometimes when there's no accessible handicap parking or when somebody parks in the loading zone of one of those spots, I have to go take up two spots so I can unload my son.. if I don't take up two spots and I just unload him next to an empty one, the odds are that spot's going to be full when I come back and I won't be able to load him back up without backing out into the main flow of things stopping traffic and loading him up in the middle of the parking lot. I explained that thinking it would relieve some people from all this hate they were spewing but instead they directed it at me and when I stuck up for myself, I received a warning from Reddit saying that I violated the terms of Reddit and if it happens again they will ban me. But they really didn't say why , and they didn't tell me how I violated anything, but they gave me 200 characters to explain myself. I was still on the introduction of my lecture to them when I ran out of characters.

On a reply to another comment on that same post, I mentioned something about disabled people needing that loading zone or it's useless rather than saying wheelchair bound which was already established but another member of the disabled community tore into me for being insensitive about those who are disabled but don't need the loading zone. You know the ones with the hangnails and shin splints who cause me to have to go take up two spaces when all the handicap parking is full. I feel like I'm being trolled out of my own community. Anyway, rather than write a big long narrative that will either be conveniently misunderstood or won't be read at all but will surely be downvoted, I decided to take the Reddit approach and report them.

OMG! I couldn't believe how much positive reinforcement I got from Reddit for doing so. I concluded that that's the other part of it. It's more communist indoctrination. they're getting us used to snitching each other off to Big Brother and not letting us take matters into our own hands. They're getting us used to living like they do in China.

I've mentioned a few times in a few different posts how Reddit karma is like Chinese social credit and every time I do, my comment gets removed. We're like a bunch of frogs a nice warm body of water that's slowly coming to a boil

RED is past tense of READ . Anyway I have not reddit..

@in10RjFox red is a color. Read is the past tense of read. ..and wouldn't the present tense of read make more sense for a site where you read things. Its like a command and a proper sentence as such. In past tense, its missing a person and an incomplete sentence.
@Jayciedubb well.. let's TRYIT .. I online on readit ... I would like to see you on readit ,. message me on readit ..

yah.. works well for me..

@in10RjFox I don't know if you want to be associated with me on reddit. I'm not on the good list. I just learned that all my jokes get banned because of the things I search and because of my comments I guess. But it's nothing devious or creepy. Just more Chinese stuff. they don't want us to have opinions that are different from the popular opinion which is the opinion they will assign us.. the only negative Karma I have from that site is when I disagree with people. But I don't just disagree and leave it at that. I disagree and I lay down the facts as to why. But the stronger you prove your point, the stronger the negativity gets. I'll go take a screenshot of the message I received from one of the joke communities

@Jayciedubb I was a veteran on IRC & Skype.. and nothing later matched the freedom and features. There was no ban or block culture then .. even slap was so much fun. It was so easy to chat with multiple users and channels at the same time.

@in10RjFox i remember when yahoo messenger was the only game around and everyone was on it. There were yahoo groups and all you needed was a person's yahoo email address. You could have multiple chats going but it was easy to wrong send so I never did multiple chats. ..and the screen for video calls was tiny and choppy .. lol but yea. Skype was a major upgrade from ym but it was the beginning of the splintering up of everyone, with all the new sites that were springing up. ..what about paltalk?
@Jayciedubb Never heard of paltalk in the Asian region. The advantage of skype was the directory where we can search for strangers to connect. and the about me was useful to know the person. I loved CraigsList Personal too for connection by emails as we can write and converse as much, until personals were banned along with EP.

@in10RjFox i miss EP as much as the next guy, but i also remember how bad it was getting and how fast it was slipping. There were mods there who were drunk on power and would lock people out of their accounts for no reason except a disagreement.

I had an acquaintance there who had connections and we disagreed about a ban on people of a certain group of people who are known to ban groups of people. ..it was in public and i was making valid points whike she was acting on hate, like the group she hated does.

Next thing i knew, i was locked out of my account that i had for years. I was able to find an ep portal and explained my situation. I was back online shortly after
@Jayciedubb EP days were fabulous. The only thing is they could have introduced subscription, which would have prevented a lot of ghosts . People had time to converse and not judgemental, until the genZ came in and started using it like FB. EP was never a place for selfies.
