Cheers to SW for not being as authoritarian as Reddit

Which is why this post is allowed to count as a question. Oh, but I have to choose a category. Shit.

Vast number of people having the same thought

If I remember from when I had the patience for the site, I think it was full of like-minded people complaining that everyone on the site disagreed with them.

Yes, just sort any post by "controversial" and see how people have massively downvoted any comment that deviates from their sense of right.
However, Reddit is very useful if you use the correct subs.

Well, I think some people believe that the upvote/downvote feature is there so they can express agreement or disagreement with what is said. And if it is massively downvoted, then a lot of people disagreed with it. Then other people think it's somehow against free speech if you downvote everything you disagree with, when you're suppressing your own free speech by not allowing yourself to express agreement or disagreement.

Ah, interesting. I just gave up on the site after too many "You're doing that too much. Try again in 11 seconds" moments.

@33person Two sides of a coin.
And Reddit shows you the "you're posting too much" because many people make spam accounts. Just wait for some time till you a/c is out of the "new" phase, then you can use it without all those time limits.

Don't give up on the site, you can seek really valuable advice there, which you'd have to pay for otherwise
