I blocked and reported that person, and I feel like I've done it once before some time ago.

Yep. This one lady who responds to arguments using personal attacks. She even searched up a selfie I have on here from when I started sw and said I look like a rapist. I commented in rebuttal the work it must have taken to find that old photo for her to use. She never responded. I blocked her the day after.

I'm very careful to protect my privacy here, so I haven't been sharing those kinds of things. I have gotten messages intended to upset or anger me, but I tend to respond to those by telling the person that they need to troll harder. Over the past 2 or 3 years I have blocked about ten people who kept trying to troll me, but it's rare.

Oh, and I almost never respond to PMs unless I know the person from a few public exchanges here. In general, I've got nothing to say here that can't be shared with the wider community.

Yes. In public, actually. I talk about my family sometimes, and a poster who was a stranger to me (he’d never even commented on any of my posts) decided he understood my "family dynamic". He made assertions that were so off the mark I just decided he was nuts and blocked him. It was upsetting, though.
