Is there an AI app to tell if an image has been photoshopped?

Matt85 · 36-40, M
on paranormal videos they always apply a "noise filter". I think if the grain looks the same everywhere, it's not photoshopped.

A long time ago, when photoshop was new, I saw conversations online where people debated the authenticity of a photo. I had the impression that it was possible, within photoshop itself, to determine whether the photo had been altered.

Maybe someone else with more experience can comment about this.
@DrWatson I think a big myth is that this is something new. People have been altering or making composite images as far back as to stacking glass plate negatives in the 1900s. Of course back then it was done because it was impossible at the time to get everything exposed evenly on one negative.
Not really. And now you have AI doctoring the photos too.

There is talk of implementing secure meta data in some cameras but even that is a non starter because it would require brands to use a universal RAW file standard which will never happen.

its not an AI app, but you can do a reverse image search. There are apps for that
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
@TexChik that will only find everywhere else that a photo is used, so if someone steals photos from an Instagram to pretend it's them (and doesn't edit them), you can find that out. I'm talking about photoshopping. To tell if an image has been edited in any way. Lol

@Notsimilarreally My computer guy can do that. Dark web stuff, they can see the metadata encoded into the digital image which will reveal the time, date, and exact location (coordinates) where the photo was taken. For that reason, I don't believe it's legal. That is why I blur my pics or use Artisto...to keep hackers/stalkers out of my business. The lessons of EP are never forgotten.

there are ways to AI-proof you own images from being stolen

facial recognition might be able to do it, if you have the original

Good question.. I get into the Ai stuff and have never thought of that.. 🤖🤖 📱💻

I don’t think that there is. Some are so good though and it’s hard to tell
