This is soo bad, now you have to be a paid user if you want to text more than a few new people otherwise you have to wait for a long time.

What do you think of it?
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
You're the first woman who's complaining about it, which makes me think you're not a woman.

I hever before had to read such a bullshit.
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
@MissyChrissy Bullshit to one person is solid to another. What you gonna do about it? 😤😤😤
deadgerbil · 22-25
For the vast majority of users on here, it's literally a non issue

The only people who I've seen complain about it are guys who spam PMs to women on here
deadteddy · 26-30, F
@deadgerbil SPOT ON
CestManan · 46-50, F
@BigGuy2 It doesn't help either that the majority of new users are likely bots. At least the 18 - 25 aged female accounts.
So it seems like this site is trying to trick the simps into buying VIP.

Older ones over 26, especially male ones, are probably legit humans.

Also, one guy about my age with a new tag was able to PM me, but it DID land in requests. Of course what messages end up in request is random.
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@CestManan ... not so much trying to trick a specific age group, as that will limit their revenue from ALL people who will be fooled into buying VIP - i would guess, that what they've done is, they've done a diagnostic check on which are the most popular groups that people sign up to {so one of them being ANR/ABF} then they flood those most popular groups with 'New' people - whether bots or not
Carissimi · 70-79, F
I don’t understand it. Are these new people some kind of celebrities that you have to pay to speak to? It makes no sense to me. I hardly interact with new people, and block a lot of them, so it doesn’t bother me, but it’s a bit strange all the same.
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@Carissimi begs the question then, why is he in the doghouse - will there be Senate hearings on the 'SW files' next 🤭🤭🤭
Carissimi · 70-79, F
He said something they didn’t like. You know how fragile the Woke are. @BigGuy2
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@Carissimi Yep ... tell me about it
Morrigan · F
I am not bothered, I mainly interact on posts and what I am liking is it seems to have limited the amount of request messages I get, which are generally from people i would not interact with anyway.
SW-User
Fuck. Now I wont be able to message "hey bb" to every female user today. This is a severe injustice and I'm taking it personally.
deadgerbil · 22-25
@SW-User very rich interactions that won't manifest
deadteddy · 26-30, F
@SW-User Ikr , I usually Pm like a NORMAL person and I haven’t had any issue so far , idk what people are complaining about 😂
SW-User
@deadteddy hey bb 😏

Didnt even need messages for that one 😌
I think it is cutting the site's own throat. That completely kills the idea of a "social media" site because it discourages the "social" part...........unless you pay us.
SW-User
I think it’s great, people aren’t bothering me as much anymore. I only want to interact occasionally with users I know well on here.
Fluffybull · F
@SW-User Same here! I only message people I know well and I don't like random messages from strangers.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
My inbox is so slow it doesn't matter! Most of my activity, like 99.99%, on here is completely in the open.

Why hide behind PM's is way beyond me.
UpForItNow · 22-25, F
Well, this will curb my dick-pikking.
The site is just strangling itself with that stupid rule. A social media site that discourages people being social is the dumbest thing you can possibly imagine. Next out of greed for the buck they will demand everyone pay to use the site. Watch and see.
WanderingThrough · 31-35, F
I don’t even know what the problem is. Most of these changes are things I don’t notice. Hopefully this means I can expect less harassing messages.
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
I couldn´t care less because I don´t send messages to anybody except to my longtime friend. And as long it´s not limited to send messages to my longtime friend I don´t mind about that.

But of course I feel sorry for all the other users and I think that the Admins shouldn´t make a limited number of people users can message when they don´t have VIP.

This is a social website, and so it should be possible to contact others without to pay money for that.
Teirdalin · 31-35
@Loretta78 I think they said somewhere that it was something crazy like contacting 60 new different users in a month or something.
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
@Teirdalin Ok, I understand. This is indeed a reason.

To be honest: I even don´t know for how much messages to new users it is limited. 🤔

But contacting 60 new users in a month is indeed a lot. Then I can understand that the Admins have set a limit.
Maybe they want to prevent with that harassments? 🤔
CestManan · 46-50, F
@Teirdalin @Loretta78
Some men play this game on the web and in real life where they contact as many women as possible in hopes that at least a few, or even one, will respond back.

Drawback for them though is it is obvious they are just copying and pasting the same message to many.
4meAndyou · F
I paid a lump sum a couple of years ago, and got 5 years of VIP. Well worth it when I hear other people complaining about ads, limited messages, and so on.
Pretzel · 61-69, M
a revenue enhancement

they said it is to keep the interactions out in the open so we can enjoy the social interaction

melarkey says I
Fluffybull · F
I like it. It'll stop some of the freaks sending unsolicited messages to numerous people.
CestManan · 46-50, F
I do not private message with that many people anyway so it has not had any effect on me.
TexChik · F
Really? I have VIP and havent noticed it. I guess they want you to buy VIP
Ok news to me...how many people are we allowed messages with
I am just back here after 3 yrs being away and wasn't aware of this.
Confined · 56-60, M
I tend to only talk to maybe 2 or 3 people
i rarely ever message anybody so i havent noticed.
Rainandforest · 22-25, F
Messaging people isn't my thing so it's okay
496sbc · 36-40, M
I made a post about this not to long ago
eventtemple123 · 22-25, M
The only other realistic option is the website selling your message history to advertisers like on facebook. Considering this, I'd say it has a positive effect on me because I know that they have a level of respect for me.

As my inbox has only ever received one message, it also makes no difference to me.
Saiko · 26-30, M
I hate it. I cant even message u
I have seen this a lot. But I don’t know what the threshold is to where the limit would kick in.

I’ve maybe created three texts in a single day at max. And that’s when I joined. So is the number much higher?
Teirdalin · 31-35
@southerngent I think it's 60 different users in a month, but I might be wrong on the number. It's basically to prevent the people who literally just spam everyone on the site all day.
SW-User
smh, who cares
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
I don't really PM often and haven't tried to PM anyone new in months, I think, so not sure if I'll be affected byt for people who mostly want to use the site privately, must be devastating.
ArtieKat · M
I've not had any problems at all in messaging new people, and I do it all the time. It sounds to me that those who can't now must have abused the algorithms
maybe it'll push people to use other means. it really has zero effect on me here so far, but as a trend and course, i don't much care for it.
MissyChrissy · 18-21, F
There is a trick. You can contact anyone you add as friend before. ;)
You can kick them afterwards again.
Teirdalin · 31-35
I literally never had the issue when I wasn't VIP a few days ago and I messaged people occasionally.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
It doesn't bother me. What I do on here isn't affected, as I hardly chat in the dms anyways
i have not encountered this!
did you get some kind of message?
@Melissaxx
Sending unlimited messages is what i really liked about this site.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
A naked attempt to get more paid users.
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
I find it very frustrating.
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
Message people out in the open
Once upon a time ep had free chat box. 😝
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
I think it’s wonderful!!
It’s not a problem for me, since I have only a few longterm friends whom I message regularly.
DDonde · 31-35, M
I don't really care. I rarely message people I haven't messaged before. Most of my interaction happens on posts.
Azlotto · M
Doesn't bother me. I very seldom message here.
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
No one ever starts a convo with me anymore so i havent noticed
caccoon · 36-40
Female account? Lol.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
New users can’t even interact with all of the regular members here anyways until they lose that “NEW” badge so this isn’t surprising.
TexChik · F
Teirdalin · 31-35
@iamonfire696 Considering most of the 'new' users are bots, that's not much of a real issue.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@Teirdalin there are a few that are real people but you are correct
