If you don't like Facebook, don't use it. Don't whinge about it on other social media sites. 🙄

I figured out a long time ago that some people (or even cultures) use Facebook vastly differently than me or people I personally know. When I was active there I believed that it was a non-anonymous platform for people who knew each other personally. I still don't get involved with anyone I don't have on my friend list.

Back in the day it wasn't about politics either. Now it resembles any comment section on popular online newspapers where complete strangers talk to each other informally and with utter disrespect. It's tragic how much it changed since 2010-2012 but the change was deliberate. There wasn't space for interactions of this kind in the past because there was no spam in the feed. Just what we subscribed to. Now I get news or any kind of bullshit really whether I want to see it or not. That's why FB became almost unusable.

Not that different than on here and other sites. It’s amazing how one question or comment can bring a torrent of nastiness.

When I had Facebook year's ago I was all was getting friend request. I don't see the point in adding them unless I knew them

I deleted my Facebook account years ago and never regretted it once. What a strange deluded place it was.

Every single day i have on average 10 new friends requests, I block each one with pleasure
