SOME people on FACEBOOK are LOST!

SOME people on Facebook are LOST!

Thoughts Anyone?

By some I mean the ones who click accept on everyone's friend request without genuinely getting to know them....just to see if you have anything in common to connect on other than going to the same High School, college, or work together. Now I can understand if you have a business that you started up and you need as many customers on your page to increase sells then of course.

Just that what I am confused about is if in High School you didn't hang around certain people but they are your friend on Facebook...and you boosting these people's comments up that never gave you a time a day in High School... rather than connecting based on real and true interests... you want to comment on posts here and there based on what entertains you. Lol hence as to why I rather focus on communities geared towards my interests. So if anyone ask me if I have a Facebook...I am saying no. I will only exchange my phone number or email based on how long I have known you for. If you want to communicate with me do it in text, phone call or email. But this whole Facebook sending friendship request and accepting...is just another number amongst other number of people lost in the clouds where the person doesn't connect or try to get to know you but maybe creep or spy on your page to see what you are all about rather than knowing what you are all about in person or communicating with you over the phone too.

If you don't like Facebook, don't use it. Don't whinge about it on other social media sites. 🙄

I figured out a long time ago that some people (or even cultures) use Facebook vastly differently than me or people I personally know. When I was active there I believed that it was a non-anonymous platform for people who knew each other personally. I still don't get involved with anyone I don't have on my friend list.

Back in the day it wasn't about politics either. Now it resembles any comment section on popular online newspapers where complete strangers talk to each other informally and with utter disrespect. It's tragic how much it changed since 2010-2012 but the change was deliberate. There wasn't space for interactions of this kind in the past because there was no spam in the feed. Just what we subscribed to. Now I get news or any kind of bullshit really whether I want to see it or not. That's why FB became almost unusable.

Kurt Cobain was in a "MENTAL HOSPITAL", and he seemed pretty cool. What mental hospitals have you been to?
SnailTeeth · 36-40
@RedBaron I didn't notice you weren't OP, my comments were meant for OP. I dunno who tf you are, and I really don't care. I'm here more for the challenging conversations, than I am for the people.

Why are you gate-keeping for OP?

I don't have to do shit next time. You're engaging with me, so consider that. I would just as easily block you, as I would entertain your company (as with most ppl here). So get over yourself, before you start picking fights in other peoples' octagons. Such arrogant idiocy.
RedBaron · M
@SnailTeeth I don’t owe you an explanation, but I am not gatekeeping for anyone.

However, stupidity is not a crime, so you’re free to go.
SnailTeeth · 36-40
@RedBaron Sorry, my paranoia and low self-esteem often lead me to believe everyone is constantly trying to pick a fight with me.
Stop rattling my cage, dammit!
I'll admit, I need to work on my tolerance.

Theyitis · 36-40, M
@smiler2012 What if you don’t know them but you have lots of friends in common? Say 60 or more?
RedBaron · M
Not that different than on here and other sites. It’s amazing how one question or comment can bring a torrent of nastiness.

How is it any different from adding friends on here hoping they're not weirdos?

CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@nedkelly I haven't had any for years, I believe. But I don't really use it.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
When I had Facebook year's ago I was all was getting friend request. I don't see the point in adding them unless I knew them
Oneofthestormboys · 100+, M
You’re right I think.
I deleted my Facebook account years ago and never regretted it once. What a strange deluded place it was.
