threats towards your anonymous media or your personal media? if they know your true identity then contact the authorities

I would use a different website or change your account. But if you feel particularly threatened, yeah, go to the police. They'll probably tell you what I just told you.

My step -brother threatened me physically, when I gave up and called the P.D., they told me to block him.

I'm not sure how you think anyone could know your true identity but in the first instance I would contact the admins of the site. I think they are duty-bound under legislation in most countries to investigate such behaviour and, if necessary, provide the user's IP address etc to the police.
