Checked out, drove to the cheapest car park I could find and walked to the Madad charity shop but the the young lady volunteer wasn't there. No surprise really, we didn't exactly make an exact appointment. Had a look around the clothes, saw a few things that I fancied but they were all too small, saved me the expense.

My sourdough toastie in the Urban Fox café has just arrived.

Wandered past the Madad charity shop on the way back to my car and saw the young lady. She had just been a bit late getting there.

Had another long rambling conversation, mostly about my trans journey but also about her family difficulties (meeting her biological father, conflict with her mother, etc.)

And at last I have her name, Kirstie.

Now I'm in the Travelodge café at Grange Park while my car is charging. I'm having a cup of tea while I wait. The woman who served me asked where I was going dressed up! The tea looks quite well presented but notice that I have put the teapot on a napkin. How come after ten thousand years of pot making it still seems impossible to make one that pours properly.

Here's today's outfit that the woman who made my tea thought was dressy

It takes no more effort to put this on than a pair of jeans. So why does 'everyone' else wear boring clothes? It's especially odd because so many people seem to like what I wear.

@ninalanyon I would say it’s much like the comments received when wearing a kilt. Females saying they wish their S/O would wear one or the males saying they wish they had the guts to wear one. Or maybe it’s unwanted attention?

@SageWanderer Kilts really do work as lady killers. I have worn them to weddings and every time I get lots of ladies attention - and some guys as well.

Just checked in to my hotel in Nuneaton. The room is only half the size of the Premier Inn in Bedford and there is no air-conditioning but the windows open and there is a bath! Also the key is a physical key not an electronic key card so there should be no problems with it failing to work. There is also a radiator that is getting hot now I've turned up the thermostat to check!

There is an Aldi about ten minutes walk away so I think I'll take a stroll and buy a bottle of Malbec so I can enjoy a glass or two while soaking in the bath.
