Got up early to pack and tidy up. Off to Leigh, west of Manchester, for no better reason than it' within an easy drive of the Turton Tower Woodland Cafe that gets advertised on Radio Caroline so often.

In the eastbound Moto services at Birch using the WiFi while the car charges. Should have been the westbound but I missed the turning inside the service area and it's impossible to turn back.

Today's outfit is a shortened miniskirt and black and white striped top

@ninalanyon you look stunning, lovely outfit and sure people will admire your outfit

@skimpyboy Thank you!

No one has complimented me in public for days! Several people have commented on my feet though nd I've noticed quite a few people in both Scotland and the North East who stare at my feet as they walk past. You'd think that my miniskirts and crop top would attract more attention but they don't seem to. After all even in the unlikely event that I pass I'm hardly dressed in what many people regard as age appropriate style.

A security person asked if I had shoes I could put on in a big shopping mall outside York this afternoon. And when I said that I didn't have any he said that it's dangerous to go barefoot and walked off. The floor was spotlessly clean, dry, and level, I'm at more risk in my own home.

It's amazing how so many people who would never dream of doing a thing claim more expertise in that very thing than people who have spent a lifetime doing it.

@ninalanyon do you go barefoot a lot ? , I do like your choice of outfits and how you coordinate them together and you have lovely legs
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@skimpyboy I have gone barefoot off and on all my life. Shoes were not allowed in the house when I was a child although I did wear shoes and socks outdoors then. But once I left home I started walking barefoot more often outdoors as well. in the last thirty years I have gone barefoot more and more often. I wear boots (fem ones of course) in the winter back home in Norway but when it's warm enough (5 C or warmer) I go barefoot almost all the time. I'm more likely to wear heels than ordinary shoes but I do keep a pair of simple flats for occasions when I have to put up with other people's rules about shoes.

I have thought that I should carry my highest pair of heels in my handbag and ask if those insisting that I put them on will accept liability for me breaking an ankle. You see people say put shoes on but they never specify what kind.

@ninalanyon I must be liberating to be barefoot and at times I do like to do the same or lose all my clothes , you will be enjoying many lovely places in the UK and the cafe looks very nice at Turton tower , how long are you staying in the UK ?
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@skimpyboy Another two months, perhaps a bit longer. I just have to get back to Norway before there's any snow.

And yes, it is liberating to be who you are instead of who you think others want you to be. Last August when I returned home I made a decision to continue being dressed. Previously I had always stopped a few kilometres before home to change out of my skirt and back to trousers. But that time I just couldn't do it. So I nervously went home dressed, except that I took off my bra. Now my children (all grown men), my neighbours, and probably everyone in the village knows that I dress fem as well as go barefoot. And no one has said a word.

I feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

@ninalanyon yes Norway gets plenty of snow .
You will be enjoying some nice weather here and I admire you for being barefoot, I am pleased to hear you have been accepted for who you are back home , I am now accepted within my village for being the naked gardener
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@skimpyboy We don't get as much snow as we used to. In the '80s and '90s we built igloos in the garden with the children that were big enough for an adult to get into. But in the last couple of decades we've rarely had enough snow to make more than a small dog kennel. In fact some winters have been what is called barvinter, bare winter, when hardly any snow falls and it's so dry that we have forest fire warnings in December.

As for enjoying nice weather here, I am but not for the reason you might think. My sons have been sending me email about long periods of daily maximum temperatures of 30 C back home. I'm quite glad I'm where it's a bit cooler!

@ninalanyon when I was young we got snow that lasted weeks but it's unusual to get snow that lasts more than three days .
So your in a cooler place here than home and climate change is certainly making big changes and even in April it was warm and sunny this year and I was cutting trees back in my nothings
