Elliptical trainer: 19 minutes, 5.05 virtual km, 15.9 kph, 2 282 steps. And a very slight glow.

@Matt85 What I'm really hoping for in the long run is to work on my lung capacity and stamina so that I can keep up slightly higher intensity activities for a bit longer than I can just now.

I can keep up low intensity activity all day, when I'm on holiday in the summer I often walk fifteen to twenty thousand steps a day. But last summer I was a little embarrassed when I was unable to keep up a certain activity that my partner for the evening was rather enjoying. That's quite a lot of the reason for getting the machine!

If it keeps my legs trim too then that is a welcome side effect!

I'm very disorganized today and so is the snow clearing service. I went out wearing my long black boots only to discover that the temperature is just above freezing and that not all of the pavements (fortau, sidewalk) had not been cleared. I wanted to take some clothes to the charity shop but their opening is a bit erratic so I decided that I would walk there twice; once to find out if they were open and again with the bags of clothes. By the time I got back my feet were soaking wet so I had to take my long boots and put on walking boots instead.

So then I set off with the bags of clothes and after about three hundred metres I decided to take a picture of the snow covered street. But I couldn't find my mobile! I couldn't for the life of me think where I might have left it so I wondered if I had somehow dropped it. So I carefully retraced my steps all the way home and to my bedroom where I found it lying on the bed )of course).

So back out again. After about half a kilometre I caught up with a tractor with a snowblower on the back that was at last clearing the pavement so I walked slowly behind it most of the way.

All that was over eight thousand steps and felt like more, especially when I decided to walk along the quay only find that it had not been cleared. The snow was almost two metres deep at the end

At least the snow was clean and cold, unlike the main street

Today's outfit is a denim skirt that my wife knocked up many years ago, a jumper made by my mother in law, a warm full length winter coat

The disorganization continues. I glanced at my mobil and saw a reminder to take my blood pressure pill. That reminded me that I had forgotten to collect a new packet from the chemist. So I had to throw my coat on again and trudge through the slush again. One piece of organization did work though; I finally, after months of forgetting, remembered to take a pair of my wife's spectacles with me to drop into the Lions' collection box, see https://www.lionsclubs.org/en/give-our-focus-areas/vision/sightfirst
