A couple of tables away there was a group of six people, two mothers, three immaculately made up late teenage girls, and one boy of about twelve I think.
It looked like a very awkward occasion. One of the girls looked extremely bored and the boy appeared not to take part at all in what little conversation there was.
I wonder how often my three boys felt equally bored when out with my wife and me?

@ninalanyon Being bored when you're with your parents is part of growing up. And let's be honest, being bored by your kids is also part of growing older with your kids.
