@Matt85 I have a pink lipstick but it doesn't really stand out against my skin colour. Perhaps I should try it again. It's also a much more expensive brand (L'Oréal) than Superdrug one I normally use so perhaps it might not smear as much.
As I was walking from the car park to Sørkedalen skole where the local brass band was holding the loppemarked a sporty young woman was walking a pair of huskies towards me.
As I was about to pass she said "Du ser så fin ut." ("You look so nice."). And on my way back to my car after the loppemarked a young woman in ski jacket with sunglasses perched on her woolly hat said "Du ser veldig kul ut." ("You look really cool.").
Makes me feel so good!
But that's not the only reason I'm writing these things here. After all even I'm not vain enough to believe that they were complimenting my body, just my choice of clothes. But I think anyone of any gender would be pleased to be complimented by attractive young women half or even one third their age.
My point is to encourage everyone stop wearing clothes that make you invisible and boring and instead wear something colourful and striking and stride down the street with your head up.
I’m sorry it has taken me such a long time to get back here. In the past week we have been in a devastating hurricane. I am fine and I was so lucky to survive and didn’t lose any of my small family that I have left. We know that we will get lights and internet back. (We already have those things back).
Yes I am in US. My home is North Carolina, one of the southern states on the east coast. You can look that up if you want to but right now everything is mostly destroyed.

@ninalanyon I live in the mountains and we are approaching our “leaf season”. It will soon be beautiful again. The Blue Ridge Parkway is closed indefinitely but we will be okay. We just have to be patient.
Today's outfit is a short red dress with a high neck and black yoke, black ankle boots, tights, red suede jacket, red scarf, red hat. I think my red phase is going to last for ever.
The dress is quite short but clingy so it's not at all revealing
One last remark before retiring to bed. Just came across an article commemorating Leonard Rossiter. It's hard to believe that he died forty years ago at the age of fifty seven.
