I've got one of those electronic diaries and I'm just debating whether or not I want to start journaling on my preparation for moving to a new city or what I'm planning to do and I'm going to do many people do it or is it just select few answer the poll and let's see what we get.
I used to keep a form of journal. I used Facebook for that purpose. Posting various thoughts and incidents from my life regularly... Until I was locked out for not getting my password correct! I had no access to my Facebook for two years.

Then one day I stumbled onto the Facebook page. I was able to type and post pictures. So, I restarted my "journal" That lasted for two about months when once again I could no longer access my page. I don't know why. I no longer care. The world will not miss my wit and insights!!
@notyouraveragedummy I got locked out of facebook too. I deactivated my account over 2 years ago and I couldn't access my way back in. I feel like I deactivated my account at the very right time, because of certain stances in life that arose. Then the meta force crept in. I chose not to embody myself into that forum!

I used to. Now I just make note of important things and take lots of pictures for myself. Need to start doing videos, so that I can look back on them.

Heck no. I would be too embarrassed if someone read it. My journal is in my head...where only I can read it lol ...and God
I am not quite 50 but I have been writing my entire life. I keep a journal. I have journals from the last 30+ years. I write, in my journals and online.
I have written a book. It is still yet to be edited and published, but I have written a book of memoir's, that has been in the works for the last 10 years. I just have not found anyone who I trust enough to share my life story.

@MamaButterfly self publishing is easier than ever these days!

I know "journal" only as a periodical magazine dedicated to one organisation or activity; but I have dismally failed to keep diaries, or even simple logs of my leisure activities!

Things like forthcoming appointments and anniversaries become noted on the calendar hanging in the kitchen.

Your poll is not very inclusive :-)

I keep a diary with important and private information in an Emacs Org mode file. Otherwise I post here on SW, both publicly and in PMs, and in other chat and email.

Why do the ages and gender matter? I don’t like digital diaries or anything digital for that matter. I’d rather use pen and paper. I’m old school.

@Carissimi listen I'll ask the questions here you just answer them or not, I choose the the answers. Huff! Huff! Huff!
