Just start writing...

Hello all, this is my first blog. It's all new to me and kinda intimidating, but hey nothing like diving right in....

You need to find a topic that people are interested in reading about and then you have to compete with the thousands of people who discovered it first. Hardly anyone makes significant money from blogging.

But the most important thing is to get started. Don't worry about [i]how[/i] to monetize it until you have something [i]to[/i] monetize.

Just start writing lol

Medium and WordPress are great for beginners. You can start to monetize Medium much easier but you'll have to have compelling content. Pick a subject or topic you're passionate about and just start writing!

Look at Medium. It seems to be the go-to place now for creating monetized blogs.

Youre probably best of trying to vlog instead

WordPress is free. Start there and getting a following. I was able to monetize my back in the day but it's best you sell a product or service. Good Ad revenue is pretty trash
