What’s the best way to start a blog?

If I wanted to start a blog how would I go about doing so? What’s the best site and how to I monetize on it?

You need to find a topic that people are interested in reading about and then you have to compete with the thousands of people who discovered it first. Hardly anyone makes significant money from blogging.

But the most important thing is to get started. Don't worry about how to monetize it until you have something to monetize.
