Do you think having a blog and being consistent on it have nowadays some worth?

I mean with all these apps like insta, youtube, tiktok, etc can it be really profitable to have a blog? Is it a waste of time and effort? I want your opinions!

It depends what you want out of the blog. If it's a just a place for you to collect your own things and you like the format, then go for it.

If you want people to look at it and for it to gain a lot of followers, you'll probably have to do a lot more advertising outside of the site in order for it to become successful.

@caccoon i mainly like the idea of somehow owning your material...it seems that in most other formats it is the company that decides what's going to happen to your things. And also i was thinking that maybe a blog is something more classic, that somehow defines trends, popular apps and so on. But it will most probably need tremendous time put in it...

@elafina they need a lot of time put into them to look good. If it's just a fun journal for you, then yeah, it's a fine format. Personally, I don't read them, but I don't look at social media much aside from this site and Instagram a little bit.
