I Recalled a Horrible Memory [I Have a Blog]

When my wife was in the SICU, there were no shortage of horrible things. One night at about 2am, the patient in the next room over died. The medical personnel on duty were frantically trying to save his life. My wife was barely awake at this moment, and she began to cry. She was worried that she was also going to die. I did everything I could to reassure her, but that moment pretty much broke me.

You're a good man. My wife passed away from cancer a little over 6 months ago. I was always by her side and I've been in the same place as you. Keep being strong for your wife. It was the most important thing I've ever done in my life.

@Cantsayno I'm sorry for your loss. It does get better, but the pain will always be there. In a weird way, the pain is a constant reminder of how wonderful she was.

I'm very sorry. It takes great strength to lend a hand of comfort to people we love when we are scared ourselves.
