Why do people add you as a follower here?

Do they think you will just add them back? Which kind of logic is that, the logic of desperation?

I am discerning of who I am accepting as “friends” here, just like I am in real life!

They may like something you posted or a miriade of different motivations...
I don't worry about it and seldom follow back, if there profile is totally perverted, I block it,otherwise I just don't follow back.
I have to of had many many interactions on the public feed ,first,and if Ifind them a good sort, I may follow.
I have an old gang from EP and some from the early days of this site, but,very reluctant to add others, usually.
