I’m sure it is because tictok greased his palm. Awhile back Trump was saying all products coming into the US will have a 25% tariff – now he is saying it will only be on selective products. And I bet that selection will be based on what company didn’t grease his palms. Cheers!

Oracle is where Tiktok's data is stored. Oracle's CEO and co-founder Larry Ellison is a long time Trump supporter.
Trump has and will change positions if swayed.
It's a matter of when it will be back. Not if it will be back.

Logic? With Trump it may just be “the kids will love me” but I suspect since we have a high tech oligarchy now, a deal or bribe or promised benefit.

Yep all of this was started by Trump in the first place and assuming it gets un-banned, Trump will be the "savior" so everyone can cheer about how great he is.

You expect sanity and consistency from Trump? Good luck.

@ChipmunkErnie Anything he says, good or bad, is hard to take serious.
Kind of why ultimately, one should not forget that it is useless to worry about what he claims he will do.

Because he can lie all he wants and people will love him.

I couldn't care less about TikTok. But the reason I was told was that, as a Chinese company, it's a "security risk". Um, so American Big Tech can't also easily sell info to China? What am I missing here?
The whole existence of Tik Tok is strange. Vine went away, only to be replaced by...essentially the same thing.
It's not like we'll ever get the real story anyway.

@uncalled4 Since there are no new ailments or other scandals, they had to drudge up something to make people worry.
But yeah "Security risk" doesn't seem to work because yeah, all other big tech does the same thing with people's info.
How though do they manage to sell people's info when most of it has already been bought and sold several times over? I mean don't they already have it?

@uncalled4 They sure do lie about a bunch of stuff.
What is funny though - they call tiktok a security risk, like we are living inside NORAD.
Somehow I doubt videos of autistic people dancing to horrible music in their average houses is going to impose a national security threat. 😄
