I couldn't care less about TikTok. But the reason I was told was that, as a Chinese company, it's a "security risk". Um, so American Big Tech can't also easily sell info to China? What am I missing here?
The whole existence of Tik Tok is strange. Vine went away, only to be replaced by...essentially the same thing.
It's not like we'll ever get the real story anyway.

@uncalled4 Since there are no new ailments or other scandals, they had to drudge up something to make people worry.
But yeah "Security risk" doesn't seem to work because yeah, all other big tech does the same thing with people's info.
How though do they manage to sell people's info when most of it has already been bought and sold several times over? I mean don't they already have it?

@uncalled4 They sure do lie about a bunch of stuff.
What is funny though - they call tiktok a security risk, like we are living inside NORAD.
Somehow I doubt videos of autistic people dancing to horrible music in their average houses is going to impose a national security threat. 😄
