Why do so many people flake out on Facebook Marketplace?

Asking if something is available and then when you tell them it is, never responding. Why did you ask in the first place? Are you just going through and clicking on item after item as if you’re liking Facebook or Instagram posts?

I guess they get that a lot. Idk. I never ask if it is available. But is it available is already put there by Facebook. So you have to get that out of there. I guess a lot of people play games on there I don’t I buy stuff all the time. Great deals

My answer would be that the quality of people on Facebook Marketplace is lacking and they are not serious buyers.

eBay is definitely a better platform to sell on, in my personal experience.
Its like window shopping, you see a picture, and wonder if it is really what you want, or do you want this other thing.
I think most people are money hunters these days, buy low, sell high. If there is ever a deal on something that sells, there will be a message to pick it up within 5 minutes of it posting. I am sure people sit there hitting refresh all day long.

Put a disclaimer: " if you see it for sale, it's available"

@JamesBugman from what I recall, things say "sold" when they are sold, no?
@iamnikki Money does not transfer through facebook in any way, it won't know an item is sold unless the seller flags it that way, but sometimes they forget.

@JamesBugman oh, well that's the sellers fault then if people keep asking "is it still available" . If it's no longer available, mark it as such. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I haven't bought from FB marketplace in years. Never sold on it

I think it's AI just making sure the post is still legit.
